It’s cold, dreary, and snowy outside. I just want to snuggle in on the couch, binge watch some new series on Netflix, and sip some hot apple cider. With that said, there is no better time than now to plan this years garden! I personally like to decide what I am going to plant, when I’m going to plant it, and where it will eventually end up in the garden. It sort of helps keep me on track… On notebook paper, I write down the weekend dates and what should be planted. I also like to include items that need to be done that month. For example, in January, I wanted to get all of my maple syrup items together so they were ready to go if we had an early run time in February. Now, I am all set to go for our maple syrup season. Now is also a great time to determine your crop rotation in the garden. I like to have all of this written down so that when it’s time to start planting, I know how much I need and exactly where it’s going in the garden. Of course, things will change, but usually not by much. Happy Garden Planning!!
